Gee and Papa!

You may have noticed that Grammy has become Gee. Dominic has always called Grammy that. We thought that it was just because he couldn't say Grammy but now that he's perfectly capable of saying Grammy he still calls her Gee and she likes it so that's what we're going with for Samantha!

Standing

She loves standing. It immediately stops her crying when she is fussy and she raises her arms up and gives this great "Wow" look. It's adorable!

Tummy Time

Sort of. It's a lot of work with that head at only 5 weeks!

She's smiling!

Yup, real smiles now even though Papa has insisted that she has always smiled at him! She makes you work for them a bit but the smiles and cooing are great! She has a dimple in her left cheek when she smiles wide but I haven't been able to catch it on film yet!

Big Stretch

She's such a cutie! We make good looking babies!

4 weeks old

Time is going by so fast! Samantha is just getting bigger and stronger every day. She sleeps great and although she has her fussy times (like when Mommy want to watch the new Harry Potter movie) she's really very mellow. She typically gets up twice a night to eat although there are nights when it's more or less. Dominic still loves her and wants to be close to her.

Party Dress

Here's Samantha in her party dress for my parent's 4th of July party. She looked beautiful and slept almost the entire time! I can't beleive how well she sleeps. Quite the change from Dominic my little energizer bunny!

2 Week Check-up

Samantha had her 2 week checkup on June 29th. She weighed in at 8 pounds and 4 ounces so she's gaining weight great. (Up from her discharge weight of 7 pounds 9 ounces) She got the ok to take real baths now. Her cord fell off so early. She was only a week old! So she's all set now until her 2 month appointment.

Attempting the impossible!

Trying to take a picture of an infant and a toddler together is very hard! Especially when the infant has no head control!
